9>9 Personal answerThe minimum wage was started to put a limit on how low to pay the young workers. In todays time, more and more single parents, senior citizens, and college students are working skilled jobs at minimum wage rates. Instead of raising minimum wage, we should reclassify what a minimum wage job is. Furthermore, we should establish minimum wage rates for different age groups, and have a tier system that classifies each job in tiers. Each tier's minimum rage should go up to the last tiers highest wage. Having 3-4 tiers in each age group would reduce the number of people at or under the poverty line, it will create better workers, and allow for less turn over. It will also reduce the number of unemployed workers. Jobs such as fast food, retail, gas station attendants etc, would be worked mainly by high school and college students, leaving more skilled jobs for working adults. |

A minority student, black or latino, can be accepted to a school they are not able to keep up with and this will hurt their experiances and set them up for less success later in life. It is better to have a 4.0 in a 4 year university where the learning curve is suited for you then a 2.0 in an Ivy league university where you struggled to keep up with the curriculum. Now as far as hiring processes I think name/race should be removed from the process altogether. Employers don't need to know your race before starting the hiring process. |

9>9 Personal answerNo, the use of electric vehicles has not yet hit a point where it is any boon to the environmental cause. The production of the batteries and their lifespan would see the wide spread adoption of electric vehicles as this point to be a net negative and the increase demand for power would see an uptick in fossil fuel usage and energy costs overall. |
