Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
9>9 Personal answerPro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
9>9 Personal answerYes, require strict background checks, psychological testing, and training |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
9>9 Personal answerYes, their services reach far beyond abortions and can save many lives through cancer screening, prenatal services, and adoption referrals |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerYes and no. Tackling what affects the value of a dollar is the real issue here. After we secure the dollar, we can consider a permanent increase. In the meantime, I believe anyone who is working should make at least enough to afford a basic cost of living depending on their area. $7.25 in small-town Georgia is a lot different than $7.50 in a city like Atlanta. |
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
9>9 Personal answerNo |
the Environment › Climate Change
9>9 Personal answerYes, and provide more incentives for alternative energy production |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
9>9 Personal answerI am inclined to just respond with a resounding "Yes", but the issue, like many, is not black and white. (See what I did there?) I think that most drugs such as cannabis, LSD, mushrooms, Cocaine, and some minor painkillers are honestly not worth treating as criminal offenses. On the other hand, you have methamphetamine, crack-cocaine, dirty opioids, etc that are extremely detrimental to local communities. A lot of the issues could be solved by addressing precursory factors. I mean, if you take all the thrill away and allow those not involved to see its effects then that would be the greatest motivator to be responsible. In the current climate, it leads to secrecy and a disconnection from the world the rest of us share until someone really gets hurt. I believe that people should be allowed to consume whatever they wish as long as it does not bring immediate harm to anyone. Regulation > Damnation |
the Economy › Taxes
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Mandatory Military Service
9>9 Personal answerNo, service should be a choice instead of an obligation |
Education › Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education
9>9 Personal answerNo, kids should be raised to be racially color blind instead of being taught they are inherently racist or disadvantaged based on the color of their skin |
Education › Student Loans
9>9 Personal answerYes, and increase government funding so every student receives a free college education |
Education › Free College for All
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Social › Government Mandates
9>9 Personal answerYes, except for religious organizations and charities that oppose the use of contraception |
Domestic Policy › No-Fly List Gun Control
9>9 Personal answerYes, but not until the no-fly list screening process is improved for accuracy and includes due process |
Domestic Policy › Supreme Court Reform
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Gerrymandering
9>9 Personal answerYes, switch to a multi-member, proportionally selected redistricting system |
Healthcare › Medicaid
9>9 Personal answerYes, but I prefer switching to a single payer healthcare system |
Domestic Policy › Social Media Regulation
9>9 Personal answerNo, the government should not determine what is fake or real news |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only for deadly contagious diseases |
Crime › Qualified Immunity for Police
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
9>9 Personal answerYes, but they should be deported after treatment |
Elections › Voter Fraud
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Patriot Act
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › COVID Employment Health Pass
9>9 Personal answerI think that the issue still needs more time to mature. While I support vaccinations and research, I also believe that there needs to be enough time to field-test and ensure the efficacy of such things before mandating them as a requirement. |
Foreign Policy › Israel
9>9 Personal answerNeither Israel nor Palestine (Gaza, West Bank, Hamas, Fatah, etc) should be receiving any support. The current situation is entirely geopolitical and we (The U.S) should leave the situation to fall where it may. |
Domestic Policy › Supreme Court Financial Transactions
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Ukrainian Defense Funding
9>9 Personal answerYes, and increase the current amount of resources we are providing |
Foreign Policy › NATO
9>9 Personal answerYes, but other countries need to increase their contributions to offset our disproportionate investment. |
Immigration › Border Wall
9>9 Personal answerNo, but increase our military presence along the southern border |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
9>9 Personal answerYes, as long as the losing party pays all legal fees, it’s our constitutional right to sue anyone for any reason |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerIt is much more complex than this. I believe that the funding should be focused more on training, evaluations, and community understanding. It is hard to grasp the effectiveness of current funding when there are so many hot-button issues surrounding the sphere. So no, I don't think the funding needs to be redirected to other programs as much as I believe the funding should be evaluated and redistributed within the programs the funding is already allocated to. If anything, funding should be increased to the outside sources that are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring said institutions are remaining honest while funding to police departments should remain the same. You can adjust as understanding is gained along with public transparency. Domestic affairs should almost always be transparent to those who live under the effects. |
Crime › Solitary Confinement for Juveniles
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
9>9 Personal answerNo, only legal citizens should be allowed to vote |
Domestic Policy › Affirmative Action
9>9 Personal answerRegardless, we should create more social programs to address poverty |
Domestic Policy › Flag Burning
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Demilitarize the Police
9>9 Personal answerNo, extreme situations should be handled by higher agencies with specialized training and equipment |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
9>9 Personal answerLoaded question. Current tuition rates are horrendous and should be addressed at the highest levels. Financial punishment for wanting to become an educated member of society goes against the fundamental idea of becoming a better nation. |
the Environment › Oil Drilling
9>9 Personal answerDepends on the cost v reward. We should be seeking to be self-sufficient, but I also believe we should be moving to alternative forms of energy as a whole. |
Domestic Policy › Whistleblower Protection
9>9 Personal answerI believe it is important to provide an avenue for those who wish to report wrongdoing a level of assurance that they are safe, but we also have to ensure that the information provided is not misleading, false, or subversive. It would be a detrimental to make it easy to say anything in such a situation, as it would provide an advantage to those who would be guilty of such actions. With the financial reach of many companies with the most influence, you could effectively snuff out any shot at having a genuine case due to flooding of dubious sources. Bureaucracy and all that.. |
Foreign Policy › United Nations
9>9 Personal answerYes, but expect and encourage other members to contribute a fair amount to avoid disproportionate investment. (Per capita/GDP) |
Healthcare › Obamacare
9>9 Personal answerYes, but a mandatory single payer system would be even better |
Domestic Policy › Eminent Domain
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only in extreme cases of national emergency |
Elections › Electoral College
9>9 Personal answerYes, and switch to a ranked voting system |
Crime › Collective Bargaining
9>9 Personal answerYes, and eliminate collective bargaining for police unions |
Foreign Policy › Military Spending
9>9 Personal answerI think that our (The U.S.) spending is appropriate, maybe even slightly above what is necessary. The more pressing issue is the efficiency of current spending. |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Torture
9>9 Personal answerNo, torture is inhumane, unethical, and violates the 8th amendment |
Foreign Policy › Foreign Aid
9>9 Personal answerI am satisfied with the current amount of spending |
Science › GMO Labels
9>9 Personal answerYes, I trust the science of responsible food engineering but I don’t trust the motives of the food companies selling them |
Housing › Homeless Encampments
9>9 Personal answerInstitutions dedicated to reform and resolution need to be implemented. Homelessness needs to have its own agency, honestly. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerYes, every citizen deserves the right to vote |
Foreign Policy › Terrorism
9>9 Personal answerYes, because it is unfair and disingenuous to deny another the rights we afford ourselves. While it seems like a convenient way to subvert existing processes, it goes against the fundamental idea that all man is created equal. The best way to respect yourself is to respect your beliefs, and that should extend beyond borders. If someone truly believed their country was the greatest, then would they not feel confident and comfortable in affording the rights they carry to those who would see those rights taken from them? If your system is so good, then the best way to show an adversary proof of that would be to allow them to experience it without bias. |
National Security › Military Congressional Approval
9>9 Personal answerNo, Congress should approve all military conflicts |
the Environment › Paris Climate Agreement
9>9 Personal answerNo, but we need to use our economic strength to motivate other signers to raise their ambitions. |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
9>9 Personal answerNo, they should be captured and given a fair trial |
Foreign Policy › NATO
9>9 Personal answerYes, but we need to encourage said countries to step up their contributions. |
National Security › Mexican Drug Cartels
9>9 Personal answerNo, we already have agencies that address these issues |
Domestic Policy › Edward Snowden
9>9 Personal answerYes, he should be protected under the Whistleblower Protection Act |
Foreign Policy › NSA Surveillance
9>9 Personal answerYes. Knowledge is power. While there are instances, current and past, that knowledge is used for the wrong reasons or without the full context, knowing nothing is a serious disadvantage domestically and globally. Just as much as you should know your enemy, you should know your friends. To expect them to not do the same is foolish, and leaves you vulnerable. |
the Economy › Decentralized Finance
9>9 Personal answerYes, but only if it’s truly decentralized and cannot be manipulated by any person, group, or government agency |
