What is your perspective on the balance between free market competition and consumer protection?

The conservatives embody the idea of modern liberalism more than actual liberals do. They want to put laws in place to make their state their own special safe space, free of men wearing dresses and uncomfortable medical procedures. They all pick and choose from their morals and the past to push their own agendas. They spout their love of traditions and traditional values while their iconic look includes active disrespect of the US flag, that not even the citizens of our enemies portray. Ive received death threats from exclusively republican conservatives for simply pointing out that I didn't like how the national anthem has turned into a concert, breaks all of the rules to the tradition, and sullys the actual message of singing the anthem as the audience, as it's supposed to indicate the togetherness of we the people as a country.
