I think that security may be necessary because, on both sides of the spectrum, there are radicals that may try something crazy.

While there are undesirables and extreme radicals on both sides and in all places, but the political turmoil caused by current politicians is their own fault, they have stirred the pot and caused the instability causing the problems. so security should be provided but additional security should come out their own pocket.
