Too many are taught that individuals who have white skin should treat those individuals with dark skin in a way to make up for the mistakes of all of our ancestors for the mistreatment of the African American community. The fact of the matter is that we are not our ancestors. Yes, we should acknowledge the racism that was prevalent in every society, not just early America, but including now. Children would not be racist if we did not teach them to treat skin color differently, regardless of if they are ethnically white, black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. We need to treat each other as if we are human and love everyone.
