If you discovered your nation was secretly aiding another country in a conflict, would it change your perception of your government and why?

I'm not sure how to feel about this, I just feel like they are just trying to help a place that has been suffering and that I support it.

Great we find this out one day after the Senate passed the new aid bill.

 @HarmoniousWalrusLibertarianfrom Maine agreed…1wk1W

This was kept secret so the dangers of more aid to Ukraine would not be made evident to the US public

“Secretly”.

They already sent ATACMS many times before, they already had drawndown authority unspent. It wasn’t secret it was already approved.

This is clickbait.

 @JaguarZoeTranshumanist from Indiana disagreed…1wk1W

They sent the 300km range version. The previous version was 165km. Nice half truth.

 @GerrymanderArtGreenfrom Maine commented…1wk1W

Long range missiles that can hit into Russian territory is a provocative move. All for defensive equipment. Offensive equipment harder to justify, IMHO.

 @SparrowBenMountain from Virginia disagreed…1wk1W

So what? Iran and North Korea have been supplying russia. Fair is fair.

 @CivilRightsMonkeyLibertarian from New Jersey commented…1wk1W

So essentially, the aid wasn’t approved and us did it anyway. Our constitution is considered irrelevant by govt officials

When Speaker Johnson was photographed at Mar-a-Lago earlier this month, I assumed Putin would be popping champagne in Kyiv by June 1. Long-term forecast for Ukraine looks decidedly better, but still a lot of work to do.

Should the public be informed about their government's involvement in international military operations, or are some secrets necessary for national security?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1wk1W

Considering the risks of escalation in international conflicts, do you believe countries should intervene with military support in conflicts outside their borders?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1wk1W

How would you feel if your country was involved in secretly sending weapons to another country involved in a conflict?
