While I absolutely see the value in ensuring every student in Colorado has access to quality education, I do wonder about the long-term sustainability of funding boosts like this $24 million allocation for immigrant students. It's a good step towards inclusivity and addressing immediate needs, but it also feels like a band-aid solution to a more systemic issue that requires both state and federal attention. Hopefully, this move by Governor Polis sparks further dialogue and action that leads to a more permanent solution for funding education in a way that's fair and beneficial for all students, regardless of their background or immigration status.
