Catastrophic Collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge After Ship Collision
It was built in the 70s, you think affirmative action was used for that?
I truly don’t care much about affirmative action, it only really needs application in very niche areas, so I don’t care if it disappears from construction, but I find it ridiculous to call a “cancer” by any means.

Oh it is a cancer. It is racist and discriminatory against qualified workers and people of merit. It causes DEATHS.
@9CJ6CB62mos2MO
That’s why I’m not an advocate for it in areas where lives are at risk.
@Patriot-#1776Constitution2mos2MO
Why would you advocate for it in any area? Are you not against discrimination and Racism?
@9CJ6CB62mos2MO
It is meant to be a bandaid against institutional racism, since every single time, even when factoring in merit, non-white races are left behind in more cases than would match the rate of those groups in the area. It’s quiet, but noticeable. Affirmative action is a counterweight, but it does nothing to fix institutional racism, which is why I don’t favor it, but am fine with its existence.
@Patriot-#1776Constitution2mos2MO
Institutional racism is a myth. Minorities benefit from discrimination IN THEIR FAVOR while whites are discriminated AGAINST. If you want to stop racism, stop being racist. It's not rocket science.
