I just think that beliefs and opinions should be named as such and each should be entitled to their own. I also grew up in a fundamentalist Christian home and school and was damaged psychologically from it and felt that a lot of abuse was justified through brainwashing. Not giving options and saying there is only one correct way leads to tyrannical, manipulative, base behavior.
