Given what’s happened in Hong Kong in recent years, can anyone blame them? Taiwan is a vibrant democracy. It’s people are free to say, write, and do as they please, to travel outside the country as they wish. Given Xi Jinping’s tightening grip on expression and mobility on the mainland — who am I, or you, or anyone to tell Taiwan to ‘reunify’?

Xi should learn from Putin's mistake invading Ukraine. If Xi chooses war, that will be the end of China's economic miracle. Already many companies are moving manufacturing elsewhere.
