Everyone is human. Just because someone is more tanned than another doesn’t make them any less human. We were all conceived the same way therefore we all started from the same beginning. So we should all treat each other fairly.

There isn't an effective way to shut down a racially insensitive remark. Because the types of people to make racially insensitive remarks are generally quite stubborn, usually uneducated, and unwilling to change their beliefs.
