How would the expert committees be held accountable for their actions. Would average people be willing to allow expert committees to determine what is best for everyone and who would decide which people were qualified to make those decisions.

I believe it will hurt them, as age and wisdom could be overshadowed by data, even when the data is poorly produced.

Personal relationships and trust will still exist and provide a counterweight to raw scientific data. While I support technocratic systems in general and in principle, these personal touches will be necessary to prevent inhumane abuses justified by science yet rejected by simple morality.
