What are the potential benefits and drawbacks of having religious education mandatory in schools?

America is not a Christian country. It started as a land of rejects and stolen people taking over Native lands from people who helped the land. Now, we have every religion here. Even if Christianty is a major religion here l, not everyone is Christian. Government and Religion should not be together. It will cause more racism. More control over people lives who do not share the same views are the next person. Might as well become a communist if you want religion and government.
