I don't know about this, I think religion sometimes shapes people's choices and opinions, and politics is sometimes to do with opinions.

I believe that a person's values and morals are individually discerned and that we choose our religion and political parties from an understanding of ourselves. The use of religion in politics is the echoing of one's values and morals should be welcomed as much as those who can talk about those who can voice their values and morals without citing religion.

No, most concepts, ideas, and thoughts that were realized in the beginning of the U.S was mostly based off of religious ethics and concepts.
