In what ways might receiving equal shares of wealth, regardless of job or effort, affect your motivation to achieve?

I wouldn’t be bothered to work as hard if I get paid the same as everyone else

Which is exactly the free market point – people won't work if they get paid the same for not working. That's one of the main things that makes socialism stupid and why it's always been a failure – it trusts fallen humanity to do what's in the best interests of society when that's against their personal interests. Mankind is inherently selfish – can't we agree? After all, socialists like yourself think corporations can't be trusted to govern themselves, meaning, in some degree, you agree with the proposition that mankind is inherently selfish, at least in the free market. What would exempt government from such tendencies? I am legitimately curious what the socialist excuse is.

Socialism is when the government goes beyond its single responsibility – the protection of God-given natural rights via enforcement of natural laws and punishment for criminals.

For the love- socialism isn’t about government, nor is communism even. A government doesn’t necessarily even have to exist in a socialist society, it’s a socioeconomic system, one built to hand the means of production to the workers or the public as a whole. One doesn’t necessarily lose the capacity to own a small business, and isn’t even supposed to touch one’s personal property in the slightest. Socialists don’t care about your toothbrush, and every despotic government isn’t socialist, often they’re not socialist in the slightest. Also,…  Read more
