Should employers be required to pay men and women the same salary for the same job?

No

Why would you not want equal pay? Whether it be a male or female, if they have the same job it would make sense for them to get paid the same. It doesn't make sense why a male would get paid more than a female would.

Did the person go to college? Does said person have the same experience , a bachelors or Masters degree? Do they work the same ours? I think all these many things should be considered. If said person is doing the same amount of work then yes. So if they aren’t being paid that go fight for it and if not go look for another job who respects you as a person. The job you left will miss and respect you more.

Absolutely, qualifications and experience are crucial factors when determining pay. However, the gender pay gap persists even when these factors are considered equal. Take for instance, a study conducted by the American Association of University Women, it found that one year after graduation, women were paid just 82 percent of what their similarly educated and experienced male counterparts were paid.

As for the suggestion to fight for it or find another job, it's not always feasible. People may lack the resources or economic stability to leave their job or go through a legal process. It also doesn't address the root of the issue: systemic gender pay inequality. What solutions do you think could better address this systemic issue?
