Demonstrated by recent decisions by rich CEOs, one person can completely destroy a service that single-handedly provides an irreplaceable venue for public discourse and communication. So it's important that the people in charge of these services are working to serve its users and uphold the American tradition of civil engagement. It's for these reasons that internet and social media outlets should be free public utilities democratically controlled by workers.
